What can you say? The Jolly Jokers missed only two questions all night! Tough competition for the Trivia Ninjas Trivia Night Challenge on Wednesday, August 18th, 2013 at Zaffiro’s Pizzeria and Bar at the Marcus Parkwood 17 complex in Waite Park.

Two lousy questions.

What’s more, second place finishers — the Jolly Rogers — missed only five questions all night!

Congratulations to all the teams who battled it out.

Here’s how it all turned out:

1. 4,317 — Jolly Jokers
2. 4,117 — The Jolly Rogers
3. 3,030 — Screaming Eagles
4. 2,929 — We Are Not Smarter Than a 5th Grader
5. 2,700 — The Team on the Roof
6. 2,671 — Browncoats
7. 2,596 — 🙁 Frowny Face

THE TALE OF THE TAPE

TRIVIA HOGS — 500 Pointers

None.

NEAR HOGS — 250 Pointers

Round 2, Question 4 (Trivia in the Making)
Both the Jolly Jokers and the Jolly Rogers knew Bears cornerback Charles Tillman grabbed sideline reporter Laura Okmin before she got hit by a camera cart. Chivalry is not dead.

Visual Round, Question 2 (Talk Like a Pirate!)
Again, the Jolly Rogers and the Jolly Jokers prevail! Both know their cereal villains. Our pirate — was of course — Jean LaFoote.

Visual Round, Question 10 (Talk Like a Pirate!)
Even though the Pirate Captain has a red beard, his name is Pirate Captain — not Redbeard. And the Jolly Rogers and We Are NOT Smarter Than a 5th Grader both knew that.

SKUNKS — No Pointers

None

SUPER NINJA SECOND CHANCE CHALLENGE

Brought to you by St. Cloud Overhead Door Company.

Every week, a team that didn’t win first place is given a chance to answer a multiple part question and go home with a great consolation prize.

This week, Lee from this week’s winning team — The Jolly Jokers — randomly drew The Browncoats to play for a $25 Zaffiro’s/Marcus Theatres gift card.

Their Super Ninja question:

“American Idol” is entering its 13th season.  The show has had a number of colorful judges over the years. And that’s the subject of tonight’s Super Ninja Second Chance Challenge.

1. On what network is ‘American Idol’?

2. There were three judges in the original season. Name them.

3. Veteran judges Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban will be back on the panel this year, joined by what rookie?

And wouldn’t you know it? The Browncoats knew every stinkin’ answer! Congrats!

The answers:

1. Fox
2. Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson
3. Harry Connick, Jr.

Who will go one-on-one with Ninja Pete next week, hmmm…?
