Being consistent and knowing stuff most other teams didn’t paid off for Steel Curtain tonight as they returned to the winner’s circle at the Trivia Ninjas Trivia Night Challenge at Zaffiro’s Pizzeria and Bar at the Marcus Parkwood 17 complex in Waite Park.

Curtain missed 7 questions all night. So did second-place Jolly Jokers. But Curtain made its move in Round 2 when its current events trivia prowess vaulted it ahead by 294 points.

They never looked back.

The Browncoats and Steel Curtain both knew about Bill Hader’s new gig as Mr. Peanut, replacing Robert Downey Jr.

Round 4, Question 1 (What Did They Say? – TV Catchphrases)
The Jolly Jokers and The “M” is Silent both knew Liz Lemon’s catchphrase “Blerg!” from 30 Rock.

Visual Round, Question 9 (On The Beach)

SUPER NINJA SECOND CHANCE CHALLENGE

Tonight’s winners Steel Curtain drew The “M” is Silent for the Super Ninja Second Chance Challenge this week. We asked in light of this year’s apparent Disney dud, “The Lone Ranger,” what Disney film — a western set on Mars — bombed LAST year, who wrote the book it was based on AND what other character is that author best known for.

One of The “M” is Silent saw the film, but could only remember it was “John” something.

The correct answers:

John Carter
Edgar Rice Burroughs
Tarzan

Missed that one at the box office?  Check out some of the excitement that was “John Carter.”
